Pictures of men at work and the progress of a paint system are hardly fascinating, but, they represent the work being undertaken every bit as much as glamour shot of the loco.
There are four equalising beams (note; the correct type for a Baby Deltic, complete with lightening holes) on the loco - two per bogie to equalise the load on the axleboxes. Having been tested for cracks they were cleaned and painted ready for reassembly to the bogies later on.
