An update accompanied by a picture of the loco on it will generate in the order of more than 2000 reactions on Facebook, an update without a loco picture will generate about a quarter of that. There's a limit to how many times we can include a loco picture however...

We don't do any structural welding during the winter because of the potential to induce stress in the parent material, we do occasionally do non-structural welding like this. This is a corner of the roof which sits above the control cubicle at no. 2 end of the loco. Considerably shortened from the original loco roof this has rotted in one corner and has been replaced with new steel.

Not the projects most interesting update I'm sure, but progress nonetheless.
