The summer sun is fading as the year grows old,
And darker days are drawing near,
Soon it'll be too cold and wet to paint,
Now you're not here.
Those are the words which Jeff Wayne would have written if he'd been building a Baby Deltic.
With thanks once again to Johnathan Rance of the PDG for the spraying, the grilles are now all the same colour as the body. This is no. 1 end, B side.
And this is no. 2 end, B side.
It's important to get some layers of paint onto the body before winter. The Roundhouse is excellent in every way but like all old, uninsulated buildings it sweats when the temperature changes - and so does everything in it.
