With two teams split between work on the underframe and in the engine room we were able to continue the removal of bracketry, junction boxes, redundant parts and framework from outside and inside the loco.
The no. 1 nose floor plate which was prepared some weeks ago was finally welded in, crack tested and painted.
The two outer sections will be added next week, these have been waiting for the loco to be lifted to get the root weld in from beneath.
