A quick update this week with a specific purpose. Someone has (almost) anonymously made a significant donation to the Project. It's been made direct to out bank account. Seen below are a couple of photos of this week's efforts so far; the upper photo is the drive shaft between the engine and the main generator, now clearly visible after the removal of the fan.

The lower photo is the fan (in two halves) and the top part of the adapter ring. The adapter ring is split in two, approximately 70:30 so that the fan (split in two 50:50) can be eased out after splitting. An extremely difficult and awkward job made slightly easier by hand turning the engine to access the bolts. Quite how we did it when the engine was seized solid is beyond me.......

Right at the bottom is a short clip of the engine being hand turned. The torch is attached to the auxiliary generator drive shaft.
