The final piece of plating for the no. 2 nose end floor extends into the cab.  The odd-shaped plate seen below completes the filling of the holes left by the nose shortening work.  The welds on the plate are capping runs hence the higher than normal bead.

No sooner had the plate cooled and the NDT chemicals been removed the whole floor was painted in primer. Tune in next week for a photo of this in grey......
