During the gaps in work undertaken in accordance with Regulations on essential non-home working I have been able to complete the no. 1 nose end panel work.  Work which would, under normal working patterns, take around two shifts has taken the best part of two weeks.  Looking up from the front corner at the Driver's side the new profile (compound curve) of the nose front corner can be seen clearly here.
The loco has been turned on the turntable and the other end can now be brought up to the same standard.  Here's a decent photo of the finished end.  The crease on the left hand side looks worse than it is because of the reflective nature of the (at the time) still drying undercoat, depending how how bad it looks when dry it'll either be (a) beaten out, or (b) filled and flattened back at a later date.
